Alexa M. Nordman is an Associate with the firm where she is a member of the Community Association practice group. She represents condominium and homeowners’ associations in diverse matters, ranging from collecting delinquent assessments, prosecuting lien foreclosures, enforcing governing documents and responding to the daily needs of associations and their managers. Alexa also works in conjunction with several other practice groups. By working on a broad range of issues with diverse clients, Alexa has the unique ability to develop effective, case-specific strategies that are instrumental in achieving successful outcomes for her clients that not only satisfy their objectives, but consistently exceed them.
Alexa learned the importance of hard work at a young age growing up on a horse farm in Wellington, Florida. Each day started promptly at 5:00 am with farm chores that needed to be completed before the day even began. In addition to this, Alexa trained and competed with young horses. Rather than working with horses that already “knew the ropes,” Alexa preferred to challenge herself by training young horses that had no prior riding experience. Doing so has taught Alexa the importance of working collaboratively with others and crafting individualized solutions in pursuit of common goals and objectives.
Alexa maintained this strong work ethic throughout her academic career. She is a proud Triple-Gator who graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Master of Science in Sport Management. Her passion for the legal issues associated with collegiate athletics inspired Alexa to pursue a career in law. In May 2020, Alexa graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and ranked in the top 5% of her class. She received Book Awards in Contracts, Constitutional Law, Labor Law, and Problem Solving Courts. After interning with an intellectual property firm during her first year of law school, Alexa joined Jimerson Birr as a Summer Associate and now works for the firm as an Associate Attorney.
When Alexa is not advocating on behalf of her clients, she enjoys watching football (especially Florida Gator football), riding her horse, and working out. She looks forward to learning more about Jacksonville’s unique culture.
