JACKSONVILLE, Fla., October 13, 2016 – On October 10, 2016, the first annual Law Firm 500 award honorees were announced. On this list of the top 100 fastest-growing law firms in the country, ranking in at number 28 was Jacksonville law firm Jimerson & Cobb, P.A.
To be eligible for the award, law firms first had to meet certain requirements. To be specific, each firm had to have generated revenue by March 31, 2012; have generated at least $50,000 in revenue in 2012; have generated at least $500,000 in revenue in 2015; and be an independent for-profit law
firm based in the United States. Once eligibility was confirmed, rankings for the list were determined according to gross revenue by Kahuna Accounting, an independent accounting firm.
The premise behind the Law Firm 500 is that in the legal profession, growth in revenue is produced through helping clients, and is therefore indicative of a thriving and successful law practice. Earlier this year, Jimerson & Cobb was recognized by Jacksonville Business Journal for their fourth consecutive year as one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Northeast Florida, so this award gave Managing Partner Charles Jimerson another opportunity to comment on the firm’s unprecedented growth.
