Alexis Torres

Overview

Alexis Torres started her legal career at the age of 14, working as a file clerk for a large HOA foreclosure firm. She worked her way through high school and college as a paralegal for insurance defense firms, joining one of the largest woman-owned law firms in the U.S. as a 23-year-old attorney. She represented nearly a dozen different insurance companies, avoiding adverse summary judgment and arbitration awards. Alexis then worked for homeowners and commercial clients, obtaining high-figure settlements for their insurance claims. Alexis represented retired judges and the former CFO of a United States President.

As a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, Alexis is recognized as a highly skilled litigator with a proven track record of success and satisfaction for her clients. Her reputation for aggressive but efficient litigation resulted in her being the former General Counsel for a large 15+ million dollar a year roofing company based in central Florida and Missouri. This reputation and her strategic relationship building allowed Alexis to direct large global settlement conferences with 3 different carriers on behalf of contractors.

Born in California and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Alexis spends her off time showing her St. Louis raised fiancé all of Florida’s different beach cities and new restaurants, all while delicately using her negotiation skills to convince him to adopt a dog.
