Overview
Kimberly Killian Law brings more than eleven years of experience as an in-house attorney in the insurance industry to Jimerson Birr. She is a seasoned insurance executive, having served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a billion-dollar super-regional property and casualty insurance company, as well as Vice President of Legal for a Florida homeowners’ insurance company. Kimberly is a strategic leader with a proven track record of managing legal teams, advising senior leadership and C-suite executives, and overseeing matters involving corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, vendor contracting, labor and employment issues, and litigation management.
At Jimerson Birr, Kimberly focuses on providing corporate legal services to small and mid-sized businesses that do not have in-house legal teams. Her unique background as both an insurance executive and a commercial litigator enables her to advise businesses on a wide range of legal issues, including:

Before her in-house roles, Kimberly practiced as a commercial litigator handling complex cases for banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and corporations.
Ms. Law was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. While she grew up going to Florida State football, basketball and baseball games, she chose to leave Tallahassee to attend undergraduate school at the University of Richmond. At Richmond, Ms. Law was a member of the synchronized swim team and helped start the women’s water polo club. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Sports Management. After college, she moved back to Tallahassee and attended law school at Florida State University College of Law. She was a member of the Jessup Moot Court Team, president of the Tallahassee Bar Association Student Division, consistently made the Dean’s List, received the Book Award in her Church and State class, and graduated Cum Laude.
Ms. Law currently lives in Jacksonville Beach with her husband Jonah, daughter Katharine, and mini goldendoodle, Hermione. She enjoys spending time at the beach, watching FSU and Penn State football (her husband’s alma mater), and watching the Tottenham Hotspurs soccer team. She also loves to smoke meat on her Big Green Egg and make charcuterie boards for friends and family. She and her husband are avid Dave Matthews Band fans, having attended their concerts in four different states as well as Cancun. Mexico!
