Overview
Olivia King is an Attorney at Jimerson Birr, where she first started as a summer associate in May of 2024. Ms. King works on a wide range of transactional matters, including commercial and residential real estate, corporate formations and acquisitions, and other business transactions.
In May 2025, Olivia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia school of Law. As a law student, she worked as a research assistant for multiple members of the faculty, delving into a variety of topics from securities law, to healthcare law, to environmental law. She also completed an internship with UVA Health’s Director of Outpatient Pharmacy where she had the opportunity to develop ethical legal solutions to the challenges presented in ambulatory care settings. She also worked with Trout Unlimited, a national non-profit organization dedicated to conserving freshwater streams around the United States, in the development of strategic responses to various regulatory concerns.
Prior to joining Jimerson Birr, Olivia worked as a Legal Assistant at Manausa, Shaw, and Minacci, P.A. in Tallahassee, Florida. This provided her with invaluable drafting experience and client interactions and sparked her enduring interest in real estate law.
Olivia was born and raised in Florida, where she completed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminology in May 2022, Summa Cum Laude.
Outside of her legal practice, Olivia is a self-taught musician and enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves going to the pool and beach, exercising, traveling, and listening to her favorite bands.
