Overview
Kristian M. Gonzalez is an associate attorney at Jimerson Birr, P.A. Mr. Gonzalez is passionate about entrepreneurship and the many ways it intersects with the practice of law. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law after obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida State University. During his time at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Gonzalez won multiple book awards for trial advocacy.
Mr. Gonzalez has always been a competitor and applied that competitive nature to the development of his trial advocacy skills by competing in mock trial tournaments throughout his undergraduate and graduate education. While obtaining his undergraduate degree at Florida State University, Mr. Gonzalez helped lead his team to a top-five finish at the National Championship Tournament in 2014 and again in 2016. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Gonzalez won the 2019 White Collar Crime National Championship Tournament hosted by Georgetown University
While in law school, Mr. Gonzalez also gained valuable experience while working in the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals as a summer clerk for The Honorable Adalberto Jordan as well as The Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum. Before joining Jimerson Birr, Mr. Gonzalez worked for a local Jacksonville commercial litigation firm, representing companies in the defense and pursuit of a wide variety of legal actions including contract, tort, employment, and bankruptcy.
Outside of work, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys chasing his dog, Apollo, around outside, cheering on the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins, and beating his childhood friends in their yearly fantasy football league.
