Jimerson Birr Founder Charles Jimerson Earns Florida Bar Board Certification in Construction Law

Jacksonville, Fla. – August 6, 2013 – Attorney Charles Jimerson joins fellow Jimerson & Cobb attorneys Christopher Cobb and James Birr in the distinction of certification by The Florida Bar in construction law. Jimerson earned this recognition for having the highest standards of skills, special knowledge, proficiency, professionalism and ethics as determined by The Florida Bar. Approximately 16 percent ofboard certified lawyers in Florida are certified in construction law.

The Florida Bar standards for certification in construction law include at least five years offull-time law practice; 40 percent or more involvement in the practice of construction law during the three years preceding application; peer review; completion of 45 hours of continuing legal education within the
three years immediately preceding application, and a written examination demonstrating knowledge, skills and proficiency in the field of construction law.

Charles Jimerson has received professional recognition as an AV® rated lawyer from Martindale Hubbell, as an expert in construction law by The Florida Bar as a Board Certified Construction Attorney, from Florida Trend and Florida Super Lawyers magazines and was named to the Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2011, an award designating the top 40 business professionals under the age of 40 in Northeast Florida. Jimerson is also a member of the Leadership Jacksonville class of 2013. He is a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, the University of Kentucky
Gatton College of Business and Economics and the Campbell University Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. While attending Campbell, he also served as an active duty Special Operations Combat Meteorologist in the United States Air Force.
