Jimerson Birr Adds Experienced Female Litigator to the Firm, JoAnne Eichelberger

Jacksonville, Fla. – March 7, 2019 – Jimerson Birr has hired JoAnne Eichelberger to join the firm’s Business Litigation and Appellate Law practice groups. She has extensive experience with in federal court, working as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Howell W. Melton, Senior United States District
Judge for over 20 years. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Eichelberger practiced at a prominent Jacksonville business litigation boutique.

Ms. Eichelberger’s legal experience includes work on bankruptcy appeals, civil rights, consumer law, employment law, ERISA, patents, Social Security, state contract and tort law, criminal sentencing and habeas proceedings in the federal court system. She earned her Juris Doctor degree with high honors from the University of Florida College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990. While in law school, she served as Senior Articles Editor for the Florida Law Review and earned a fellowship with the Center for Governmental Responsibility. Ms. Eichelberger is also a former adjunct professor at the Florida Coastal School of Law.
Ms. Eichelberger is originally from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina but grew up in Clearwater, Florida. She has called Jacksonville her home since 1989.
