Five Jimerson Birr Partners Recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine

Jacksonville, Fla. – June 12, 2020 – Jimerson Birr is proud to announce that five of its partners have been recognized as 2020 Florida Super Lawyers and Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine. Charles B. Jimerson and James O. “Joby” Birr, III were honored as Florida Super Lawyers while Austin B. Calhoun, Austin T. Hamilton and Brandon C. Meadows were named Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
Each year, only 5% of lawyers are honored as Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5% of lawyers are honored as Rising Stars in each region. The annual selection process entails a multiphase selection process that includes a statewide survey, independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews within each practice area.
This is the ninth consecutive year that founder and managing shareholder Charles B. Jimerson has been recognized by Super Lawyers with seven years as a Florida Super Lawyer preceded by two years as a Rising Star. Jimerson’s distinction comes from his work in the practice areas of business litigation, construction litigation and banking.
Partner James O. “Joby” Birr, III was recognized for the tenth year for his work in the practice areas of business litigation and construction litigation, with seven as a Florida Super Lawyer after three as a Rising Star.
Rising Stars, Austin B. Calhoun, Austin T. Hamilton and Brandon C. Meadows, have established their place on the Super Lawyer Magazine’s list for several years. This is Calhoun’s fourth year, and his practice areas include business litigation, construction litigation and business and corporate affairs. Hamilton received his third year of recognition with practice areas of business litigation, construction litigation, real estate, civil litigation and appellate. This is the fourth year Meadows has been selected with practice areas including business litigation, eminent domain and creditor debtor rights.
