Overview
Curtis Campbell is an experienced litigator who thrives in high pressure situations. His experience includes catastrophic commercial litigation, construction litigation, and class action litigation. In addition, Curtis’ prior experience involved determining coverage related issues pertaining various insurance policies, including whether businesses received coverage for COVID-19 related losses in the landmark case, In re: Society Insurance Company COVID-19 Business Interruption Insurance Coverage Litigation, MDL Docket No. 2964.
Curtis also has experience with transactional matters, including drafting documents of incorporation, letters of intent, memorandums of understanding, and real estate sales contracts. Further, Curtis has conducted due diligence on matters such as litigation, compliance with state and federal law, classification of employees, and current contracts. Most recently, he assisted with the acquisition of a multi-use property in New York, and an acquisition of a Florida based company by a publicly traded corporation by conducting due diligence on legal, financial, tax, operational matters.
An active member of the Florida Bar, Curtis is also active in its Young Lawyers Division. He currently serves as the mock trial coach for the Ribault High School mock trial team. When needed, he also assists with the mock competitions at Jacksonville University College of Law by acting as a scoring judge.
During his time at Belmont University College of Law, Curtis won Top Brief awards at the National Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition in back-to-back years. He also served as the President for Legal Aid Society.
Curtis was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. While at MTSU, Curtis was the vice-president of the mock trial team, where they were runner-up at the national competition.
In his down time, Curtis enjoys playing golf and hiking with his family. While he spends most of the work day reading and writing legal documents, he also spends his personal time listening to audiobooks and authors his own projects.
